A $249 Renewal That Decides Itself, and a $99 One That Does Not Move

Say the interest out loud: Nevada Registered Agent.co sells the $99 service this page prefers. LegalZoom's pricing is theirs, taken from their published rates during a July 2026 review and reproduced without adjustment.

What the Brand Buys

Permanence, and it counts. LegalZoom is the most recognized name in company filings, it is not going to vanish between one renewal and the next, and nobody needs it explained to a bank, a partner, or a lawyer. When the party holding your legal mail is a company you will still be able to find in a decade, that is a real form of insurance.

Their pricing is also stable. $249 a year, and our review found no first-year discount, no promotional tier, and no rate that varies by package. What you pay at signup is what you pay later.

Stable, and Automatic

The renewal runs on its own. That is convenient right up until it is the reason a decision never gets made.

$249 leaving an account annually, without anybody re-examining it, is how a business ends up paying nine years of a price it chose once. The number is not hidden. It simply never comes up again.

Ours is $99 and also renews, and we would rather you look at both figures every single year than trust either of us out of habit.

The Gap, Stacked

For scale, Nevada's own annual bill to your LLC is $350, split between the $150 Annual List and the $200 State Business License. The difference between two agent invoices covers nearly half of what the state itself takes.

Replacing LegalZoom as Your Nevada Agent

Nevada moves an appointment with one filing under NRS 77.340, the Registered Agent Acceptance and Statement of Change. Five steps, none of them long.

1. Sign up with the incoming agent first. This is the step people reverse and regret. Your record shows LegalZoom until the state processes the replacement, so appointing us before anything is filed produces a deliberate overlap, and your entity is never sitting on the public record without somebody available to accept a summons.
2. Collect the acceptance. The new agent signs the same document, accepting the appointment. Nevada will not record a change without it, which is precisely the mechanism that keeps the seat filled.
3. Fill in the entity details. Your company name as the state records it, the outgoing agent, and the new agent's name and Nevada street address. Do not go hunting for a form number. Nevada does not use them.
4. Pay $60 and file. Both channels exist: SilverFlume for the online version, the Commercial Recordings Division for anything mailed or delivered in person.
5. Verify before cancelling. When the state's business search shows the new agent on your entity, the handoff is finished and the old account can be closed. Not before.

The $60 is real and Nevada is among the more expensive states for this. At a $150 annual gap it is repaid in five months and then keeps paying.
