Nevada requires an agent for the life of the entity. So the renewal is not a footnote to the price. It is the price. A company three years old has paid $199 twice and $99 once, and a company ten years old has paid it nine times.

The Total Nevada Owners Should Actually Compare

Vendor pricing gets easier to judge once the state's share is sitting next to it.

Nevada takes $350 from your LLC every year: $150 for the Annual List of Managers or Managing Members, a filing NRS 86.263 requires, and $200 to renew the State Business License. Fixed by statute. Identical for every company. Due by the last day of your anniversary month, with $175 in penalties if it is not.

Same statutory job on the agent line. Same $350 above it. One hundred dollars of difference, repeating every year the company stays open.

Keep our own row in proportion, though. BetterLegal asks $90 a year for the same seat, which is under us, so call $99 low rather than lowest.

Getting ZenBusiness Off the Record

The filing is one Statement of Change of Registered Agent by Represented Entity, signed by the agent coming in. It carries a $60 fee. Online submissions go through SilverFlume; paper goes to Commercial Recordings.

The document wants your entity name as Nevada spells it, the agent leaving, the agent arriving, and a Nevada street address for the new one.

Order of operations, which matters more than the paperwork: enroll here before you touch the ZenBusiness account. Nevada keeps the existing agent attached to your entity until the change is processed, so signing up first means the two overlap and nothing on your record goes vacant. Cancel first and you own an interval where your company has no one appointed to accept service. Papers can still be delivered during that interval. That is the whole reason for the sequence.
